Clarence Thomas Neglected to Add Wife’s Finances to Disclosure for 13 Years
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has reportedly neglected to admit his wife’s financial information to a disclosure that is required to be reported by holding a seat on the Supreme Court. Thomas has reportedly left out his wife, Virginia Thomas’ financial income from Hillsdale College, the Heritage Foundation and Republican Leaders in the House for 13 years.
He is reportedly adjusting his information to add her income now. CNN says a liberal group called Common Cause noted the omissions and has urged the Justice Department to “ investigate whether a speech the justice gave in 2008 before a conservative seminar sponsored in part by prominent GOP fundraisers created a possible conflict of interest.”
