Filmmaker Tyler Perry Sued for New Film ‘Temptations’ For Allegedly Stealing Storyline

Tyler Perry seems to never be able to get a break. He’s always being targeted by a lawsuit but making the type of money he makes, will attract leeches and unfortunately a lot of lawsuits.

Apparently, a Gary, Indiana screenwriter says Perry stole his storyline from the movie: ‘Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor’. William James has filed a lawsuit on April 24 against the filmmaker for allegedly ‘stealing his idea from a screenplay he wrote in 2009 called “Lovers Kill.” James insists that Tyler Perry’s Temptation has the same plot and conclusion as his original piece’. He’s suing Tyler Perry Studios and Lions Gate Entertainment, claiming copyright infringement.

Tyler Perry’s ‘Temptation’ Movie Has to be His Best Movie Ever

One of our staff members went to see the movie ‘Temptation’ by Tyler Perry. We have to say that this movie was one of his best ones made ever. The movie didn’t feel like a typical T.P. movie. We really could not tell it was produced by him since most of his movie have his signature ‘feel’ to it. The only part that made us know it was a Tyler Perry movie was when the main character started using drugs and then the movie spin into a direction that only he could have thought up.

Here’s yet another prophetic word from Pastor Kevin Shell. He has addressed this issue plainly yet thoroughly. By thinking back to what some of us grew up watching on television, I think we will see how this world has come to calmly accept transgenderism in our society. Bishop T.D. Jakes celebrated his 35th anniversary of ministry and 55th birthday on Friday. He was surprised with tributes from Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Pastor Paula White and Chaka Khan at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas. Many celebrities and Christian leaders honored the black minister as a “spiritual leader” and “prophetic voice.”

Oprah Winfrey was the first major surprise guest of the “Triumphant Journey” event celebrating Jakes’ service as a pastor, family man, global leader, author and his work in entertainment.

Tyler Perry Studios Suffers Four Alarm Fire in Backlot Facade

News reports that the fire is contained at this time at the Tyler Perry Studios in SW Atlanta. Read below for the details on what happened:

Fox News in Atlanta reported:

Investigators were trying Wednesday to find the cause of a fire that ripped through a simulated streetscape at Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studios, sending flames soaring into the night sky.

There were no reports of injuries from the blaze that began shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday and burned through the exterior facade of a large building, Atlanta Fire Capt. Jolyon Bundrige said.

Two Missing Florida Cases Get Attention From Producer Tyler Perry

Producer Tyler Perry has been offering quite a bit of philanthropy lately. Just last week he donated to the cause of a pastor who lived on a motel roof top in order to raise money to buy the property. This week, he is joining the mission to find two missing Florida men who both disappeared with similar circumstances.

Early this week, Tyler Perry appeared on MSNBC’s Politics Nation with Al Sharpton to discuss the cases. The two men are Terrance Deon Williams and Felipe Santos and they both disappeared close to eight years ago just after encountering a Collier County police officer, Cpl. Steven Calkins.

Melvin Childs, author of the Tyler Perry tell all, “Never Would Have Made It” did an interview with The Grio. During the interview, Childs says he has no hard feelings towards Tyler Perry. Childs also says he took money from his wife to help Perry because he believed in his gift.
