Daughter Alia Rose Honors Teena Marie at Grammy Museum
Daughter of Teena Marie speaks out at a tribute for her mother at The Grammy Museum. The even was called “Wild and Peaceful” Tribute to Teena Marie. Many of Teena’s closet friends performed in tribute to her: Shanice Wilson, Faith Evans, Lala Hathaway and many more.
The Grammy Musuem Honors Teena Marie
The tribute was inducting her into the Grammy Museum as many singers sing their best to honor a woman with a voice none can compare.

Remembering Teena Marie: Happy 55th Birthday, Lady T
We just heard from one of our readers that March 4th was soul singer Teena Marie’s birthday. We pray her family and friends are celebrating her life on this day.
Teena Marie passed away on December 26, 201o, one day after her daughter’s birthday. Many of Teena’s friends remembered her on the memorial service held in Los Angeles, Ca on January 10, 2011.

Its been known everywhere that fans of singer Teena Marie who died in her sleep Dec. 26, 2010, want clarity on the soul singer’s sudden death. Its so true that many people just can’t get over her sudden passing at age 54, that her fans are nearly demanding to receive some real answers about what caused her death.
The coroner has already stated that she passed of natural causes though she experienced 2 seizires just a few short weeks before she left this earth.

We received more new about Teena Marie’s memorial service taking place Monday, Jan. 10. The memorial service is a private service for select friends and family members.
Teena Marie is scheduled to be laid to rest on Jan. 10 at Forest Lawn Cemetery’s Liberty Hall at 1pm PST. She was cremated according to her wishes.
There is an expected 700 attendees to be present at the memorial Monday which is an ‘invite only’ catholic service.

We received a news tip that singer Teena Marie’s manager has officially given an announcement about her memorial service to the public. This will be one of the very few that her manager Lyn Jeter has given since the passing of singer Teena Marie on Dec. 26, 2010.
Lyn Jeter stated to Essence Magazine that Teena Marie’s memorial date is set for Monday January 10, 2011. The location of the memorial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks in Los Angeles. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks is also where pop star Michael Jackson was laid to rest in 2009.

News has just broke that a date for soul singer Teena Marie, that passed away on Dec. 26, 2010, is set for this month. Singer Teena Marie died at 54 years old in her home while her daughter found her passed away apparently in her sleep.
Teena Marie’s private memorial is set to take place on January 9, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The family or spokesperson for the family are not releasing the details of the exact location or time of the memorial.

Private Funeral Arrangements are Made for Teena Marie
Though we are all still very struck by the sudden loss of soul singer Teena Marie, she does have planned private arrangements for her funeral. It was stated on TheRoot.com that the family is planning a private funeral service for the beloved Teena Marie which were her wishes.
A public memorial will take place sometime next year. The details for the memorial are not released at this time.
