After being the talk all over the news and internet, the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs released a statement Sunday apologizing for backing out of marrying a black couple, Te’Andrea and Charles Wilson in their church.

Can Racism Be An Issue Over Living the Gospel of Jesus?

Many of you have read here about the couple in Mississippi who wanted their wedding at one particular church but was later asked to move the wedding somewhere else because ‘some’ church members were uncomfortable with a black couple being married there.

Well, we were appalled yet we realize that people still exist with this kind of mindset. Not many things change for some people in America. It doesn’t matter that we should love each other in ‘brotherly love’. It doesn’t matter that Jesus wouldn’t treat anyone this way, though we preach live and be like Christ. Sometimes race matters over just about everything; and some people, even today, will die a racist. Its just that simple to understand.
