R&B Singer Patti LaBelle To Pay $100K for her Alleged ‘Profane Tirade’

Ms. Patti LaBelle may have had her day as a true diva, but she will have to pay for her ‘profane tirade’ against a pregnant mom and her little girl in the lobby of a Manhattan apartment building. In court, she has agreed to pay for it to the tune of $100,000, the plaintiff’s lawyer told The Post yesterday.

Patti Labelle allegedly shouted the F-word, called mom Roseanna Monk some other obscene word and drenched her with bottled water after complaining that Monk’s then-18-month-old daughter was playing near the lobby door of an Upper West Side Trump apartment building where LaBelle was staying in 2010.

Here’s the latest news on the case with Patti Labelle allegedly calling her handlers to go and get this man who stood too close to her luggage at a Houston airport last year. Apparently, her son Zuri, one of Patti’s bodyguards as well, is facing complaints about how he allegedly beat the cadet, Richard King.

The mother of the child that was allegedly terrorized by Patti Labelle and her tantrum, is speaking out in an interview about what happened that day in a NYC lobby. Roseanna Monk explains in detail what occurred.

It was Nov. 10 of last year when stagehand Kevin Monk, his kindergarten-teacher wife, Roseanna, and Genevieve were getting ready to go on a family trip.

While Kevin got the car, Roseanna Monk came down to the lobby of their Riverside Boulevard building with their luggage, carrying Genevieve.

Ms. Patti Labelle has found herself in a bad light these days. Five months before, Patti Labelle found herself in trouble with a military cadet whom she allegedly ordered her handlers (security) on this man for standing too close to her luggage at an airport in Houston. This man was thrown to the ground and suffered bodily injuries because of this incident. Now, she’s lashing out on bystanders for no valid reason.

Patti Labelle’s Entourage Charged with Assault Against West Point Cadet

Patti LaBelle’s hairdresser and bodyguard have warrants out for their arrest; both are charged with assault even though the original story to police painted a much different picture.

There was no audio of the March 11 incident at Bush Intercontinental Airport, but according to court documents, the video speaks for itself. Patti LaBelle’s bodyguard, Efrem Holmes, originally told Houston police he was just defending LaBelle’s son. After watching the video, three months later, an officer reached a different conclusion.

Countersuit From Singer Patti Labelle Now Accuses Cadet of Racial Slurs

Now Patti Labelle is firing back at the now former West Point military cadet that was beaten severely by her bodyguards at Bush Intercontinental Airport in March 11.

LaBelle says the West Point cadet, Richard King started the fight when he punched her son in the face. Her son Zuri was driving the limousine that day when he was packing the car with her luggage.

The lawsuit accuses Richard King, 23 of cursing the singer and using racially and sexually offensive language, and says he tried to force his way into her car.
