We thought we’d take a look at Oprah Winfrey’s last show. We didn’t know what to expect but we figured we’d find some interesting things that she had to say and she surely did.

So here’s our review of ‘Oprah’s Farewell Show- 25 Years’:

Oprah speaks to the audience for the last time and refers to it as her “last class”. She says this show is her love letter to all of her fans. During the entire 25 years, she never missed one day of work on the Oprah Show.

Oprah Winfrey interviewed recently about how the OWN network is doing so far. She told Entertainment Weekly that she admits that she regrets starting the OWN Network at this time of rounding down the Oprah talk show was the wrong time and her mistake. She stated she has not dedicated enough time to the network while bringing her talk show to an end of 25 years.

Oprah Fires CEO of OWN Network for Ratings Below Expectations

 

News reports have stated this week that Oprah Winfrey has outed her CEO of OWN Network, Christina Norman. Apparently, the network is still struggling with slow ratings and the person at the top running it got the axe. Sources state Christina Norman ‘abruptly left the 4 month old channel.

Norman came aboard as the CEO of OWN Network in January 2009. She was formerly president of MTV for 17 years and she worked herself up from the bottom to acquire that position.

Though many said that her launch last weekend was soft and then reached 1 million views on Saturday’s New Year’s Day, its not looking great for prime time’s leading lady, Oprah Winfrey. Oprah’s OWN Network fell nearly 70 percent this week.

‘Viewership has declined significantly’ says, reports at HelloBeautiful.com. News there stated that “Sunday dropped to 822,000… Monday fell to 394,000, followed by Tuesday hitting 315,000.”

We had to say, “We told you so” but….. “WE TOLD YOU SO”. Sorry for the enthusiasm but when people start admitting that Oprah is not the best thing next to sliced bread, we can sing “Hallelujah”. There are many more critics that do not find Oprah’s OWN network to be ”all that” just because its… OPRAH!
