We are not sure what to think of this. It’s definitely two fold. It just seems unhanded for some reason at the same time.

House lawmakers have given tentative removal to repeal the remaining sections of the North Carolina’s Racial Justice Act, the 2009 law that allows death row inmates to seek to have their sentences commuted to life without parole if they can prove that racial bias played a role in their death sentence.

It’s always nice to hear stories like this. When race plays a major role in how someone’s life was unfairly judged and condemned, its justice systems like this that make us believe in them again.
