Chris Draft was only married to his wife Keasha Ruteleage-Draft for one month  before she lost her battle to cancer. Chris was an 11 year NFL veteran who married his wife on November 27th, she passed on December 27th, exactly one month to the day.

You could see the love between the two and that they loved each other endlessly regardless of the foreseen issues they would face. His wife Keasha was wheeled down the aisle in a wheel chair and taking some steps to say “I do” to her husband.

Houston NFL Player Antonio Smith Found Dead Man’s Body in Pool

A man drowned after a party at the home of Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith on Saturday night.

Police were called to Smith’s house at 9:30 a.m. yesterday, and found a 37-year-old man fully clothed and drowned at the bottom of Smith’s pool.

Authorities say foul play is not suspected.

“Apparently, he stayed out there by himself,” Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Capt. James Burger said.

“In the morning, when people woke up and went outside, they discovered him in the pool.”

According to Andrew Brandt, a frequent blogger at The Huffington Post , the Eagles and Vick have agreed on a six-year $100 million contract extension, which is more money (although with one more year) than Peyton Manning was able to get just a few weeks ago. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed Brandt’s report on Twitter, adding that the deal includes $40 million in guarantees.

Ravens Linebacker Ray Lewis Supporting Boy Who Survived Hudson River Drownings

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, became a mentor to LaShaun Armstrong. LaShaun is the 10 year-old boy who escaped the van that his mother, LaShandra Armstrong drove into the Hudson River on April 12, killing herself and LaShaun’s three younger siblings.

The United Athlete Foundation and board member Ray Lewis have come together to support children like LaShaun Armstrong. The organization has been around since 2008, pooling the unique resources of athletes across all professional sports with the singular goal of improving lives. UAF announced the fund during an interview airing May 24th on NBC’s The Today Show with LaShaun.
