Bishop Long and Accusers Back in Mediation and Settlements Underway

Our friends from in media circuits in Atlanta have informed us that mediation in the sexual coercion and misconduct case against Bishop Eddie Long by four young men. Back in February and March, the case was in mediation and no settlement agreements were made. As many of you may know, the first mediation session last month, was said to be very heated and emotional. At times during those sessions, the four men were said to “curse” the bishop over what they allege he has done to them.

Bishop Long and Wife Says They Took a 40 Percent Pay Cut

We received news from one of our readers that Bishop Long stated to his congregation that he and his wife have taken a 40 percent pay cut. On March 7th, Bishop Long announced it his 11 a.m. service. In his words, “The economy has tightened the budgets for many churches, and New Birth is no exception.”

Recently, news reported that Bishop Long’s church cut pay or church employees by 10 percent, reduced the work week and included two layoffs so far.

Bishop Long Mediation Has Ended, For Now Says His Lawyer

News has been announced via Barbara Marschalk, who represents the Lithonia-based church and its LongFellows Youth Academy mentoring program, this first mediation session has ended. She states she is not sure if more will follow and would not comment on any details to the mediation session.

Mediation expert Thomas Arthur, a professor in Emory University’s School of Law, told AJC news: “It depends how much is at stake. The idea is to keep going if they might actually reach an agreement.”

We received notice from our friends in Atlanta news that have given us BREAKING NEWS about Bishop Long and his New Birth Church. The church is stating there is a decline in the economy is why Bishop Long and New Birth officials are imposing a 10% pay cut and has laid off at least two employees just recently. But sources state the pay cuts and lay offs have nothing to do with the economy- finally it has to do with the DROP in CHURCH ATTENDANCE!!

‘Calling All Men’ to Attend Men’s Only Late Night Prayer Says Bishop Long

We just don’t know when it will cease. We are referring to Bishop Long and and his shenanigans. On Sundays, Bishop Long always has a special video message he presents to his congregation in during services and for his televised services on StreamingFaith.com. Well, this Sunday was no different. While we are all waiting to see the result to his sexual misconduct case, Bishop Long is doing business as usual. In fact, he’s getting bold these days and this time he’s calling “only men and all men” to a late night prayer service from 10:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. for the next three Mondays.

Man in Critical Condition was Shot at Bishop Long’s New Birth Church

We just received some breaking news today from our affiliates in Atlanta that there was a shooting that took place at Bishop Long’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

The Lithonia, GA located church apparently had a shooting on Saturday in the church parking lot. The DeKalb County police came out to the scene at 5:30 p.m. and found a male who had been shot and is in critical condition.
