Missing Girl Jhessye Shockley Still Not Found But Documents Found in Landfill

Police are still on the search for the missing 5 year old Jhessye Shockley in a landfill. This will be week two and there is no sign of the girl at this time and nothing has been found that is related to her death. The search began on February 6 and focuses on a ’180-by-200-foot area’ of the 691-acre Butterfield Landfill in Mobile.

The police have found, however, some documents in the area that’s being searched and was dated around the time little Jhessye’s disappearance was reported in Oct. 2011.

Mother of Missing Jhessye Shockley Forced Out of Home, Investigators Seize 100 Items

We have never had a good feeling about little Jhessye’s mother Jerice Hunter who police believe she tortured the child in a closet til her death in that very apartment.

Police have released a search warrant (read report here) and its contents to the public that Hunter’s landlord forced her out via a court order as investigators removed almost every household item they could for evidence against her. Source

Missing Girl Jhessye Shockley’s Sister Says She Believes Girl Died in a Closet from constant abuse and neglect.

This is very sad news and we are literally fighting back tears. Our hearts bleed for this little girl and her family.

The missing girl that disappeared on Oct. 11th may be dead and in a landfill, police say. Glendale police stated the body may have been placed in a trash receptacle in Tempe and then dumped in a landfill before she was reported missing.

This case is strangely sounding very familiar. We hate to compare tragedy upon tragedy but this may be another Casey Anthony case all over again. We want so much for the little girl Jhessye to come home but the story surrounding her disappearance is not very hopeful. Again, we are praying for the best outcome regardless of what things appear to be at this time and that whoever is responsible, pays dearly for this crime.

Why would the police NOT file charges on properly?! Though we don’t know if the mother had anything to do with her daughter’s disappearance, they like many of us, feel she knows more than she’s admitting. Either way, it will all come out and the truth will prevail.

Mother Jerice Hunter Arrested in Disappearance of Missing Jhessye Shockley

Report from the latest on the missing girl Jhessye Shockley:

Jerice Hunter, the mother of missing 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley of Phoenix, was arrested Monday on charges of child abuse, “directly related to her daughter Jahessye,” according to the Glendale Police Department.

The police and FBI served a second search warrant on Hunter’s apartment complex, where Jhessye disappeared Oct. 11, and arrested Hunter there.

Glendale Police Department spokeswoman Tracey Breeden told ABCNews.com that according to information authorities have received but cannot disclose, “It’s highly unlikely we’ll find Jahessye alive.”

The mother of a missing Glendale girl has given birth to another baby, who is now in the custody of state Child Protective Services, according to the family. CPS on Monday would not confirm the newborn has been taken from the mother, Jerice Hunter.

As her grandmother, neighbors and supporters continue to comb the neighborhood, a relative has come forward to state she and the children’s grandmother called Child Protective Services on Jahessye’s mother, Jerice Hunter for abusing the children.
