We wanted to speak on a gospel singer who has quickly made her album debut a huge success by making it secular. For those of you who know Le’Andria Johnson, you’d know she won on ‘Sunday Best’ gospel talent show last year and was adored for her authentic gospel sound.

Thanks to one of our readers for sending this video along to us. It’s a song from gospel singer Le’Andria Johnson’s new album, “The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson” called “Make Him Like You”. Well, we were a bit leery to view it only because we felt its probably secularized being produced on Matthew Knowles music label “Music World Gospel”.

Gospel Singer Le’Andria Johnson Returned to Sunday’s Best Singing “Jesus”
We wanted to share this video with you because it reminds of what we wrote about Le’Andria Johnson before. We stated how she won the Sunday Best competition last year; when she was videotaped confessing she had back slid into her old ways; performed at a gay and inclusive church event and now is singing under the label with Beyonce’ father Matthew Knowles. That’s a lot of ups and downs in her very short career. It kind of reminds us of how Fantasia won the American Idol and how her career had so many turbulent turns, we couldn’t keep up. We are going to pray that LeAndria Johnson can truly stay on a straight path and not allow outside influences to keep her from praising God as she should.

Beyonce’s Father Matthew Knowles Signs Gospel Singer Le’Andria Johnson to New Label
Matthew Knowles gospel label, Music World Gospel entered into a recording agreement with BET Networks and its premiere brand, Sunday Best, the award-winning weekly gospel music competition program.
The first release scheduled under the new agreement is Sunday Best’s third season winner, Le’Andria Johnson. Her debut project, The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson will be released in September.

Gospel’s Professed Backslider Le’Andria Johnson Now Ministers to Gay Church Event
We really find this news to be very disturbing but not surprising. At one time, the winner of “Sunday’s Best” Le’Andria Johnson appeared to be humble and people praised her for her anointed voice. Soon after winning on Season 3 of the show, she admitted on video that she ‘backslid’ and started picking up her old habits.
We wrote about it on our prior post: Sunday Best’s Le’Andria Johnson Seeks Prayer After Backsliding. We actually commended her for coming out and admitting it because this can be difficult as the church sometimes judges you.
