Thanks to a close source, we were given this interesting statement from a man that has some insight on the gospel industry and its commercialization that trumps hip hop in many ways.

It looks like one record company has called it quits and will focus on one specific genre- rock. They admit to massive lay offs and cut backs in recent years and have to start reinventing their music company and this includes dissolving its labels.
Parent company RCA closes casket on well known labels.

RCA has announced they are dissolving Arista, Jive and J Records and putting what’s left under one umbrella.

“My vision for RCA is to be more of a music company,” said RCA CEO Peter Edge to The Hollywood Reporter. “You have to reinvent, and that’s what we’re doing.”
