Penn State Investigation: 267 Page Findings Show Top Dogs Concealed Abuse for 14 Years

The Freeh report said “the avoidance of the consequences of bad publicity” as a significant cause behind the “failure to protect child victims.” The report also cited:

  • “A striking lack of empathy for child abuse victims by the most senior leaders of the University.
  • “A failure by the Board to exercise its oversight functions in 1998 and 2001 by not having regular reporting procedures or committee structures in place to ensure disclosure to the Board of major risks to the University.

As we reported earlier this month, Penn State University’s top officials failed to protect the children, LA Times Says, who were sexually abused by former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, according to an investigation of the scandal that has roiled the school since last fall.

Former FBI Director Louis Freeh was hired by the university to investigate how the school handled the Sandusky abuse reports made on school grounds. In a letter along with the release of the report Thursday morning,Freech had very harsh words for the university’s top officials for failing to act on reports about Sandusky.

We must state as well that is wife Dottie definitely knew what her husband was doing all of these years and lived in the same house as well as slept in the same bed with this man. Here’s the latest in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse trial this week.

The first of eight alleged victims expected to testify — identified as alleged victim No. 4 — said he endured more than 40 “very uncomfortable” incidents involving Sandusky during the two years, when he was 12 and 13 years old.

The now 28-year-old man testified Monday that former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky treated him “like his girlfriend” for more than two years, showering him with gifts he was afraid he would lose if he told anyone about Sandusky’s increasingly sexual behavior.
