India Arie Responds to Skin Lightening Ridiculousness on Twitter
We were sure that it was just camera lighting situation and not the lightening of the skin. Coming from an artist’s perspective, her new song is called ‘Cocoa Brown’. For all we know, the camera man was using lighting to signify the name 0f the song. It doesn’t always mean that every black person, especially black women in the industry are trying to change their skin complexion. It sounds like a photography thing, not at black thing! Goodness gracious!
