Vickie Winan’s Nephew Carrying On Secular Sounds for Gospel Music
Gospel music’s Vickie Winans’ nephew Tim Bowman Jr. has a new album coming out. Many may know him when he ‘scatted’ on her 2009 Top 10 radio hit “How I Got Over” and on a remix of Winans’ 2003 hit “Shake Yourself Loose.” All of this added a hip hop sounding gospel to her music, we must mention.
He and Vickie Winans should know better than to be involved in creating music that edifies the world instead of God. Consequently, he’s made a wise choice to continue his studies, majoring in pharmaceutical sciences at Wayne State University . He’s learned it’s best to have something to fall back on just in case music doesn’t work out.
