Family Radio Owned by Failed Doomsday Predictor Harold Camping To Close Down

This is the best thing to happen. Even though we were happy that Camping ultimately admitted he was wrong for predicting the end of the world, so much damage was done. Over the years, Harold Camping has predicted the end of the world on several occasions and of course he was incorrect. He was incorrect, not because as a mathematician he could not calculate it, but due to the fact HE IS NOT GOD. It has always been a shock to us that the bible clearly says ‘no man shall know the day nor the hour’. For a man who prided himself on knowing the bible, he tried using his scholarly education over biblical education that rules over all.
We are glad that the radio show is coming to an end. His ministry has lead many blinding souls down the wrong path of worshiping him and not Jesus himself. People gave up everything and their life savings because they truly believed in Harold Camping’s prediction of the end of times. Some even committed suicide when it did not happen. How tragic is that? We would not want that over our heads.
Read the details below on the report:
The Contra Costa Times reports (http://bit.ly/17hPOrP) Oakland-based Family Radio has sold its three largest radio stations and laid off longtime staff members. Tax records show Harold Camping’s non-profit network saw its net assets drop to $29.2 million by the end of 2011, from a net worth of $135 million four years earlier.
Former and current insiders tell the newspaper donations have dropped almost 70 percent since Camping’s Rapture prediction proved incorrect last year.
Camping convinced thousands of followers that the world would end, only to later post an online letter conceding he had no evidence of an impending apocalypse and will no longer predict global doom.

Family Radio’s Harold Camping Issues Statement of Apology for Failed Rapture Predictions

The well known founder of Family Radio of the Oakland Bay area station, Harold Camping is admitting that his predictions of the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ was wrong. Take a look at his issued statement.

Dear Family Radio Family,

In this time of confusion and turmoil, God’s Word remains the only truth in which we can trust. God has shown us again the truth that He alone is true. In Romans 3:4 God declares: “Let God be true but every man a liar.” Events within the last year have proven that no man can be fully trusted. Even the most sincere and zealous of us can be mistaken.

Harold Camping Repents and Apologies- Hallelujah!!Finally: Harold Camping Offers Repentance and Apologies For False Rapture Predictions

Thank God! We are so happy that Harold Camping has humbled himself in his own way and now is offering repentance and apologies to the world and to God. This is definitely his start to walking with God in obedience and in spirit.

Here’s a transcript of the audio message, published to Family Radio’s website on Oct. 28, 2011, is below:

We’re living in a day when one problem follows another. And when it comes to trying to recognize the truth of prophecy, we’re finding that it is very very difficult.

Failed Rapture Predictor Harold Camping Is Getting Out of the Prophesy Business

Harold Camping’s wife has confirmed that the 90-year-old radio evangelist has retired, a documentarian close to Camping told The Christian Post in an exclusive interview.

A documentarian, Brandon Tauszik, who has been attending Camping’s Oakland, Calif., church for eight months told The Christian Post Sunday that he spoke with Camping in person on Oct. 16 before the second coming was supposed to come.
Tauszik said that Camping seemed very unsure about the exact date of the end of the world when they spoke. When asked if he was wondering what would happen Friday (Oct. 21), Camping reportedly said that God has not given anyone the power to know exactly when the Rapture would come – a radical change from what Camping had said only last month in an audio message.
Let’s remember that Harold Camping sounded less sure in September about his calculations, said, “The end is going to come very, very quietly probably within the next month. It will happen, that is, by October 21.”
After Friday’s apocalypse did not occur, Camping refused to speak to the press. Camping’s wife, Shirley Camping, was very suspicious of Tauszik when he appeared at their doorstep, wanting to make sure he was not working for any newspaper or magazine. She added that neither of them wanted to speak to the press.
