Mississippi High Court Upholds Barbour Pardons: This Is God’s Will

When God tells someone to do something, there is nothing humanity can do about it. Governor Haley Barbour is a born again Christian and even allegedly claimed he prayed with the prisoners whom worked at his mansion.   If this man did not know what he was doing, then God would have stopped him.  As we have said before, it is not up to us to make judgement against this man’s decision.  This business of these 200 prisoners being released has to do with God, all God wants us to do is make sure we are saved and doing all we can to win souls into His Kingdom, that’s it.   As Christians, we are supposed to pray for Governor Barbour and thank God someone cares about prisoners and their souls.

Let us ask you this question, how else are we supposed to make a better society, if we do not think these prisoners deserve another chance?   Maybe we would not choose to release these prisoners if it were us as the governor of Mississippi, but this is why God chose Governor Haley Barbour and no one else.   Also, we should learn something from his decision and go out and preach the gospel to those whom are left serving time in prison and on death row.   Many of these convicts have no one to visit them and tell them Jesus loves them.   Many of these prisoners and death row inmates are forgotten about and their families no longer pay them a visit.  Therefore, those of us whom are saved and full of God’s spirit should join in with Governor Barbour and show love to these people without judgement.  Furthermore, in this era, we sense that homosexuals seem to be getting all the attention and many of their family members and even churches whom once claimed not to believe in the lifestyle and believed the Word of God’s biblical scriptures against it now support that community.   Therefore, those of us whom yet refuse to oppose God’s Word should now give attention to other sinners, because many other types do not rebel…Read full article, here.

Update: Pardoned Mississippi Alleged Killer Says It Was God’s Doing

Anthony McCray says Governor Haley Barbour’s decision to release over 200 prisoners was God’s doing, not his own.  Mr. McCray sounding like a changed man, humbly explained how grateful he was to Governor Barbour.  He says he is saved, has been baptized and reads his Holy Bible.   He also mentioned on this following video, he worked along with other prisoners at the Governors mansion.  He says Governor Haley Barbour treated all of the prisoners as if they were his children.   Isn’t this what Jesus Christ would do?

Outgoing Mississippi Governor Barbour Pardons Four Killers: Is This God’s Will?

We sympathize with the families who are very upset, regarding their family member’s alleged killers being set free.  However, we have got to think about God using Governor Barbour to set these prisoners free, regardless of the crime.   Governor Barbour can also being remembered for releasing the two African American sisters, 36-year-old Gladys Scott and Jamie Scott, 38-year-old who were allegedly both accused of murder and served 16 years in prison.  The only way the sisters were able to be released was for 36-year-old Gladys Scott’s to give her kidney to Jamie, her 38-year-old sister, who requires daily dialysis, which was very thoughtful of the governor.  Now, before he leaves office he is just doing one more good deed for four more prisoners whom were accused of murder and serving life sentence, they will enjoy freedom, all because Governor Barbour set them free.

Scott Sisters Freed From Prison Must Comply To Conditions to Remain Free

Mississippi ex-convicts sisters Jamie and Gladys Scott, who were released from prison so one sister could give the other a kidney transplant, have a few stipulations they must comply to in order to remain free. Doctors have mandated that they both lose 160 between the two of them and Gladys Scott must quit smoking before the transplant can take place.

Update: The Scott Sisters Left Prison

We are so very glad to report that on yesterday, the Scott sisters left prison on terms that one of them donates their kidney to the other.   After 16 years in prison, the Scott sisters thought they would never be free, but it certainly was a miracle.  Governor Haley Barbour suspended the double sentences for Gladys Scott, 38, and Jamie Scott, 36.  They left about 9 a.m. on Friday.

The Scott sisters were accused of arm robbery of eleven dollars.

The Scott sisters are now on their way to live in Pensacola, Florida with their mother and children.  They will remain under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections parole office.
