George Zimmerman Released and Free On Bail

Shortly after midnight Monday morning, George Zimmerman walked out of a Florida jail on a $150,000 bond.

He was fitted and wearing an electronic monitoring device and a bulletproof vest. He drove away in a white BMW and will be housed at an undisclosed location, where he will await the second-degree murder trial in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman’s release has come just three days after his half-baked apology and 2 hour bond hearing.

We wanted to keep you updated on the Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman case. Here’s the latest on an apology, bail hearing and alleged injuries on Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman took the stand before the bail ruling and apologized to Trayvon Martin’s parents, notes AP:

“I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not.” Source
