Kelly Price vs New Light Chrisitan Church Copyright Case UPDATE
Last week, we posted an update about the Kelly Price vs Bishop I.V. Hilliard and his New Light Church copyright infringement lawsuit.
In the documents, it states Price wrote the song and the church used it without permission. In Sept 2010, the defendants (The Hilliards) requested to have the order dismissed but the court denied it. The courts denied their request to dismiss and in turn the judge requested Kelly to provide factual matter in the case. Ultimately, the motion to dismiss made by the judge on Kelly’s part because evidence or arguments were not sufficient factual matter to prove her case.
