R&B/Gospel Singer David Peaston From The 80′s Dies At 54
The son of gospel singer Martha Bass of the Clara Ward Singers, David Peaston was a soulful singing crooner that in many ways topped the late Luther Vandross.
David Peaston was a hit on the “Showtime at the Apollo” in the 1980′s with his rendition of “God Bless The Child” died on Wednesday at age 54. News reports state he died from complications of diabetes.
The STLToday.com reported:
Peaston’s longtime battle with diabetes led to the amputation of both his legs, beginning with his right leg in 2004.
