Gospel Artist/Actress Tamela Mann Interviews with Jet Magazine
Here’s an interesting interview with Tamela Mann. Jett Magazine asked some very pertinent questions and you will find Mann very candid and supporting of the gospel industry. We can’t say we agree with everything she stated but she has a positive outlook on things.
Here’s a few excerpts from the interview below:
How did you start singing?
“Mr. Brown” is on a more serious note. He sings “Marvelous” from his wife, Tamela Mann’s album “The Live Experience”.
I’m pretty careful who I listen to these days from gospel music but this song I like.

Tyler Perry Further Exploits Madea Character in New Poster
First, this is a question we have for anyone out there: so when does Tyler Perry need to imitate or use the theme of other shows and movie characters to get people to come to his plays or go see his movies? O.k. someone is going to say, “So what if he does?” Well, we used to be big fans of Perry until he started allowing more violence, profanity and exploitation in his work as in the “Why Did I Get Married” series. We said it before but just when you think you found the modern day black filmmaker with morals and values, they fly out of the window when the “green” gets greener! Guess hanging with big time Oprah will do it to you!
Tyler Perry Turned ‘Black Swan’ Madea into A Demon
We just came across this poster that was just released to the public. Tyler Perry has released the poster above of Madea being ‘The Real Black Swan’. Apparently he has coined the idea from the 2010 movie by Darren Aronofsky’s movie “Black Swan”. Aronofsky’s ‘Black Swan’ is about: “A ballet dancer wins the lead in “Swan Lake” and is perfect for the role of the delicate White Swan – Princess Odette – but slowly loses her mind as she becomes more and more like Odile the Black Swan, daughter of an evil magician.” (From IMDb).
