Nashville TV Reporter Robbed and Shot at ATM

A Nashville television reporter has been shot and wounded in a robbery at an ATM.

WZTV-TV  reported Erika Lathon was using a banking machine 17th Ave. N. and Church Street around midnight when a man with a gun approached her car and demanded money.

Police said Lathon gave the robber the money, but he then shot her in the arm and ran away.

Lathon was able to drive herself to Baptist Hospital a few blocks away, where she was treated for the gunshot and later released.

Georgia State Stays Execution of Intellectually Disabled Man, Warren Hill

The Guardian reports:

Warren Hill, a death row prisoner in Georgia who has been diagnosed intellectually disabled, has been granted a stay of execution 90 minutes before he was scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection.

The Georgia supreme court unanimously decided to postpone the death sentence in a case that has caused an uproar nationally and around the world.

Missing Detroit Girl Bianca Jones’ Father Allegedly Charged with Daughter’s Murder
We always knew the father of that precious little girl was involved in her disappearance and probably the murderer of his own daughter. He was not fooling us and apparently he never passed the honesty test with family and friends close to him.

Back in December, 2 year old Bianca Jones went missing and her father stated he was carjacked by gunpoint by two men and they took off with the child. Her body has never been found but her father is now being accused of murdering her.

Wayne County’s Prosecutor’s Office is working to make a decision towards issuing a warrant by the police in the case of the missing 2 year old Detroit girl Bianca Jones.

Bianca Jones went missing Dec. 2. Her father, D’Andre Lane, told police he was carjacked near his home in Detroit and the thief fled with Bianca still in the car. Police found the car 10 minutes later, but the toddler was gone.

The Detroit Police Department requested a warrant Tuesday in the disappearance of 2-year old Bianca Jones. The police are not releasing any comments on any details of the warrant.

“The warrant request is being reviewed and there will not be any decision made this week,” Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller wrote. “We will not comment any further regarding this matter this week.”

Here’s the latest in the case:

Authorities are “expecting the worst” for a Tyler County mother and son missing for more than two months.

Lettie Fisher, 79 and her son John Fisher, Jr., 31 were last seen on Sept. 19 near their home before they were to go on a fishing trip. Three days later, their 1999 silver Toyota 4-Runner was found parked at Magnolia Ridge Park.
