Bishop Charles Blake Serves Another Four Years as Head of Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.)
The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) has recently re-elected Presiding Bishop Charles Blake to serve a second term, which means he will be the head of the largest Pentecostal denomination another four years.
COGIC re-elected Blake on Nov. 15th at the 105th Holy Convocation in St. Louis.
According to the 2012 Yearbook of Canadian and American Churches, the Memphis, Tenn.-based church claims 6.5 million members and is the fifth-largest Christian denomination in the U.S.
Bishop Charles Blake gave is humble response to the four year extended term as head of COGIC:
“I am humbled and delighted to be chosen to continue to lead one of the greatest churches in the world,” Blake said in a statement. “The Church of God in Christ is a beacon of hope and love.”
What we pray for is that all of these presiding bishops over church denominations will handle their business accordingly to God’s will not the status quo and to just run business as usual. God needs some true and willing vessels to move in his kingdom righteously.
