Former ‘Your Black Muslim Bakery’ Owner Sentenced to Three Life Terms
The former leader, Yusuf Bey IV of a once-influential Oakland community group of Black Muslims was sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole for ordering the killing of three men, including a journalist, Chauncey Bailey who was working on a story about the financial troubles of the organization.
Reports stated this:
Despite his conviction in June, Bey, the former head of Your Black Muslim Bakery, continued to assert his innocence in a statement read by his attorney Gene Peretti.

Oakland Editor Chauncey Bailey Finally Receives Justice with Verdict
It seems like it was just yesterday when John Allen Muhammad was convicted of killing Dean Harold Meyers, one of several victims in a series of sniper-style shootings that terrorized the Washington area in October 2002. During a three-week period, he and his young sidekick, Lee Boyd Malvo, shot 13 people, murdering 10 of them. Since then, they both have been also accused of shootings in other various states. It has been said Muhammad was the one who initiated the shooting spree and Malvo was nothing but a follower who did whatever John Muhammad asked him to do.
