Bishop Joseph Walker Sex Lawsuits All Dismissed By Judge

A judge has dismissed the claims in a lawsuit filed against Bishop Joseph Walker III of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and this includes the most recent claims that were just detailed and amended for the court with accuser Ms. Batson.

The Tennessean reports:

Former church member Valencia Batson had sued Walker, Mt. Zion and several other ministers earlier this year for alleged sexual abuse.

Many church leaders have called the allegations ridiculous in the past and Walker’s attorneys argued that the statute of limitations had passed for most of Batson’s claims and that some of the other claims in the suit were improperly filed.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church Pastor Bishop Joseph Walker’s Accuser Amends Sex Lawsuit with More Details

Bishop Joseph Walker of Mt. Zion Baptist Church has not been let off the hook with the lawsuits that alleges he engaged in sexual misconduct with two members.

Two former members filed lawsuits against the bishop but some things have changed with the two suits. In November, one lawsuit was dismissed and the attorney for the other plaintiff filed court documents to withdraw that suit, according to Examiner.com.

The good pastor is not going down until all allegations hit the fan and that is exactly what is happening now. Bishop Joseph Walker III of Mt. Zion Baptist Church is hit with yet another lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct which involves a church member.

A former church member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Corey Corbin, filed a $5 million lawsuit against Bishop Joseph Walker on Thursday. Corbin is claiming that the Bishop ‘ruined Corbin’s marriage by sleeping with Corbin’s former wife, Kesha Moore.’ The couple are reported to have went to counseling “specifically marital counseling for sexual problems.” Source

As you know the pastor of Mount Zion Baptist in Nashville was recently accused of committing sexual abuse on at least 4 women so far from his church. This includes a lawsuit that claims the pastor Joseph Walker and other church leaders as well.
Well, if you remember how things went with Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, all of his indiscretions came out over a years time, once the sexual allegations hit the news. Many of those secrets were ponzi schemes, employee sexual harassment suit, church member church suit and much more. It seems like Bishop Joseph Walker III may follow in his footsteps.

According to The Tennessean, Walker has not filed taxes on his organization in 3 years and J.W. Walker Ministries Inc. has lost its “federal tax exemption last month for failing to file tax returns for three years.”

Nashville’s Bishop Joseph Walker Sued For Sexual Assault By 4 Women

A woman suing Bishop Joseph Walker III and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville for several sexual charges tell what happened to her at the church.

“I believe that it was time for me to say something,” said Valencia Batson.  She and three others, who remain anonymous, are suing their former church for $5 million.

“I felt like I was dead. A walking person that had no life that was spiritually bound. My soul was in turmoil,” said Batson.
