ATL School Board Chairman and Four Officials Removed and Replaced in Cheating Scandal
Former school board chairman Khaatim Sherrer El announced his resignation in the continuing fallout from a cheating scandal that has overwhelmed Atlanta Public Schools. Also four other top area superintendents were removed and replaced by the interim superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools Erroll Davis.

A newly named Texas school district superintendent agreed Monday to take a paid leave of absence as trustees re-examine her previous administrative post in the Atlanta school system, which is embroiled in widespread allegations of cheating on standardized tests.
Trustees of the DeSoto Independent School District held a lengthy closed-door meeting that lasted late into the night before Superintendent Kathy Augustine read a statement announcing she was taking the leave of absence effective Tuesday.

Atlanta Schools to Seek Reform in Wake of Cheating Scandal
Atlanta’s schools will flag suspicious test scores and achieve a culture of integrity in the wake of a cheating scandal that could lead to criminal charges against some principals and teachers, officials vowed Thursday.
Interim Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr. received school board approval to mandate ethics training for employees and provide remedial help to perhaps thousands of Atlanta Public Schools students who may have improperly advanced because of the cheating.”We will have a more open, transparent and empowering culture,” said Davis.

Christopher Waller, who is implicated in the APS testing scandal in Atlanta has indefinitely stated he had not knowledge of cheating in his school. He also told media that he would not do this because he is a pastor. Well, we searched for info on his church and found he is Senior Pastor of the Butler Street CME Church in Atlanta.
One ATL Principal Was Superintendent’s ‘Pet’ in the Cheating Test Scandal Across The District
Christopher Waller principal of Atlanta’s Parks Middle School did some extraordinary things at his school. Before Waller took charge, 1 percent of Parks’ eighth-graders exceeded expectations on the state’s curriculum test. In Waller’s first year, 46 percent reached that level.
Superintendent Beverly Hall was impressed and found a way to use Waller as her ‘pet’ and example for all teachers and principals in Atlanta schools, says report. Despite complaints of Christopher Waller’s alleged academic fraud, sexual harassment and other improprieties, Hall turned a blind eye because she needed him to help her turn the entire school district around with standardized test scores.
