We were happy to receive this piece of information that not only addresses gospel music as we used to know it, but Pastor Kevin Shell points out exactly why gospel music has changed to what he calls “One World Music”. The age old question, some may call it, from gospel singer Kirk Franklin was posed in his 1998 song “Stomp”:

Wow!! Some may say this because it has been so long since legendary hip hip artist and singer Lauryn “L Boogie” Hill has performed and come out with an album. She most definitely “rocked the bells” at this concert. The Rock the Bells concert series featured a rare appearance of her as a ‘special guest’ this past weekend in NYC. More than 20,000 attendees paid $100 in hard earned money to see this legend and most would say it was all worth it with “L Boogie”in the house!! Performances included A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan and Snoop Dogg. Below is the video to a part of her performance where she gives a salute and pulls many artists from the sidelines to the spotlight with her. A few a them would be Mary J Blige, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, John Legend, Chris Rock & Jay-Z.

This was the weekend for wedding for hip-hop stars across America. We have T.I. and his long time girlfriend Tiny wed at a courthouse in Miami Beach. Then we have pregnant Alicia Keys marrys her boyfriend and fiance’ Swizz on a cruise ship in Italy on Saturday. Then we have DJ Jazzy Jeff marry Lynnete Jackson in Jamaica on Saturday.
Guess everyone was in mood for weddings. We wish them all the best!

Famed singer and musician Alicia Keys marries fiance’ rapper/producer Swizz Beatz this past Saturday. The ceremony was conducted in Italy on the Mediterranean Sea on board a yacht near Sardinia’s exclusive Costa Smeralda. Many friends and family attended the ceremony. This was definitely the wedding of the rich and famous.
Alicia Keys, 29, wore a beautiful gown designed by Vera Wang. As stated by a spokesman from StyleList the gown was “an ivory silk georgette asymmetrical draped goddess gown with jewel detail on the back shoulder”. StyleList says “Keys completed her beautiful bridal look with a jeweled headpiece, which accented her her chic chignon hairstyle perfectly, and a cascading bouquet of purple calla lilies.”

How could America ignore one of the world’s greatest comebacks this year: Ms. Whitney Houston, for a Grammy?
I just want to know how she not only didn’t get a Grammy but there was no announcement of a nomination at all.
I just don’t understand it. How was she snubbed out of even one Grammy Award.
Let’s just look at Whitney for a minute. She had not made an album in 7 years and a hit album longer than that. She finally left her husband, bad boy Bobby Brown, 2 years ago. She has made a beautiful new start for her life. She took the advice of music label producer, Clive Davis and made a comeback that the world can not deny her credit for.

Whitney Houston is taking the world by storm with her new album “I Look to You” which is #2 on the Top 200 album charts. She is doing her thing as ‘if she never left’ is a true statement of her other single with Akon. What an amazing comeback she’s done and the world is embracing her like never before.
Though she does not call this her ‘comeback’ but her ‘come-through’, as she voiced on her appearance on the Oprah show this summer, she had definitely ‘come through’an amazing breakthrough and she’s taking all of us on a ride with her.

Whitney Houston, America’s favorite entertainer has released her star to the world, again without a Bobby Brown lagging behind her stardom. Whitney Houston is America’s favorite superstar. What does this woman need with a clown who looks like a joker? The ex-New Edition member has really added to his shame when asked by an interviewer, what would you have to say, if Whitney negatively talks about you during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, he then answered, “well I would seriously have to have a talk with her.” What???? A talk???? How can a penniless clown have the authority to have a talk with the superstar-diva of Pop. He simply cannot think that he has the power to sit her down and hear what he has to say.
