Old School Rapper Heavy D Dies at Age 44
The rapper, born Dwight Arrington Myers, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital around 11:25 am. According to reports, Heavy D was found conscious on a walkway near his Beverly Hills home when a 911 call was placed.
The rapper was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. PST. Foul play is not suspected, though police are investigating.

The Four Tops Musical Leader George Rountree Dies at Age 61

George Rountree was a key behind-the-scenes associate of the famed Motown quartet the Four Tops. He has died. He was 61.
The Sun reports Rountree, who worked as the group’s musical director for more than 30 years, died Sunday in a Las Vegas hospital.
Rountree, known simply as Tree, also performed other roles for the group, including arranger, composer and keyboardist.
Rountree, a Detroit native, performed with some of the music industry’s biggest stars, including the Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, Frankie Valli, Bill Withers, Freda Payne and David Ruffin.

Well, we found a secular music producer who has more reverence of God and the sanctity of the house of God than most will admit. He says the message can’t be interpreted over a banging hip hop beat. Producer Louis Rodger says its sad and the church is losing credibility.

The newest update has been confirmed rapper Rick Ross has suffered yet another seizure while hopping on a private jet to Memphis to perform. We are not sure why he was released from the hospital the first time but apparently he was not well enough to catch a flight and perform today.
Reports say:
The Miami-based artist’s private jet to Tennessee was forced to land in Birmingham, Ala., when he suffered a seizure, NBC station WTVJ of Miami reported. It was the second time in six hours a plane carrying the performer diverted due to concerns over his health.

Singer Fantasia Says Investors Pulled Out of Mahalia Movie And No Contracts Had Been Signed
Fantasia Barrino called in to a show to address rumors that she had been pulled from a Mahalia Jackson biopic for concealing her pregnancy and angered the iconic gospel singer’s family by reportedly having a baby with a married man.
“When I was watching and it came across,” Barrino says. “I was ready to walk to New York. I almost went into labor, because it was the first time that I’ve heard anything about that. I haven’t spoken to the family, haven’t heard anything from the family.”
