New Pastor of Jericho City of Praise Attracts 2000 Churchgoers on Easter

For this church to attract 2000 churchgoers after all of the controversy that has riddled the church in the past few years, its good to see it has been put aside in order to move forward with this new pastor. We are not stating we agree that Joel Peebles should have been kicked out of his own mother’s church, but God surely doesn’t want to see this church stay stagnated. We just pray the church and the pastor’s vision will truly do what is right for the body of Christ this time around.

Our friends at Joy105.com covered the story for the first service Dr. Jazz preached which was on Easter Sunday.

Dr. Jasmin ” Dr. Jazz” Sculark the newly appointed Pastor-Select preached her inaugural service entitled, “Tell the devil…I’m back”!

This multimillion-dollar campus complete with senior housing, a business park, a school, Jericho Food Pantry Outreach that provides food for 100′s in the community weekly, and our neighboring friends, the Washington Redskins is one of the largest in the United States with ownership of over 180 acres of land. The people eagerly poured into the sanctuary on Easter Sunday morning with a record attendance of over 2000 parishioners for a Sunday morning since the lost of it’s Co-Founder Apostle Betty Peebles in 2010.

Dr. Jazz has made it clear to us here at Joy105.com that her focus is John 12:32“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” She says, “My job is simply to lift up the name of Jesus and His job is to draw the people. I am going to build on the legacy of Apostle Betty Peebles. I am not coming to lay a foundation, I am coming to build upon a foundation that has already been laid. I am excited about what God wants to do with Jericho City of Praise and humbled that He chose me to be apart of it.” Dr. Jazz passionately opened the doors of the church for membership and the people responded.
