Atlanta Pastor Jerry Black of Beulah Baptist Announces Engagment to New Wife
The pastor of Atlanta’s Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, Jerry Black has announced his engagement to be married. Pastor Jerry Black was married to Glenda J. Harris Black for 32 years. The late First Lady Black spent four years as a stage four survivor of breast cancer. After several surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, his wife and our beloved first lady, Sister Black, made her transition on July 3, 2008.
Now, after nearly 6 years, he has found a new wife to be named Sister Kate Wiley. Pastor Black made the announcement during Sunday service on Feb. 2, 2014.
Here’s the post on the church’s Facebook page that stated the engagement:
At Beulah, we are celebrating at the Next Dimension and preparing for the Kingdom of God. We congratulate our Pastor, Reverend Jerry D. Black and our own, Sister Kate Wiley who officially announced their engagement today. Please join us in wishing them well for a beautiful beginning and wonderful life of love and happiness. We ask everyone to partner with us in lifting them in prayer for God’s blessings upon them as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives.
Congratulations to Pastor Black. He was a faithful husband to wife and now he deserves new happiness with a new spouse. We wish him well.
