Donna Grady Creer, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2013. She was born April 25, 1956, and spent her formative years in Marianna, Arkansas. Quick-witted, loving, positive and a jack-of-all-trades, Donna made an instant impression on everyone she met. She used her smile and her many talents to show people in Little Rock and across the country how much she loved them, and in turn, they loved her back.

She was a tireless worker on behalf of the gospel community, being inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and receiving the Radio Icon Award from the Urban Soul Café Honors, as well as being the Second Vice Chairman for the National Gospel Announcers Guild and a member of the Arkansas Gospel Announcers Guild.

Her signature voice graced the airwaves as a national voice talent and a broadcaster at JoyNetRadio.com and countless other radio stations, including KLRG, KIPR, KLIH, and Hallelujah FM. She showcased her skills as a talented writer for Urban Network, The Gospel Truth, Gospel EUR and numerous press kits and one sheets for gospel music artists.

As the Executive Director of the Magnet Review Committee, the Delta Sigma Theta sorority sister played a huge role in Little Rock history, working 26 years to address the systemic inequalities in the Little Rock education system.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Wanda Grady; brother, Connor Grady; nephew, Justin Grady; members of the Grady, Creer, and Davis families; numerous godchildren; and countless mentees, friends and loved ones.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, June 20, 12-6 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary Chapel, Little Rock.

A celebration of their life will include a Musical Tribute on Thursday, June 20, 6:30 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist, 5722 W. 12th St., Little Rock.

Home-going Celebration will be held Friday, June 21, 11 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th St., Pastor Phillip L. Pointer, Officiating Services entrusted to Robinson Mortuary, 1201 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Little Rock (501) 371-0111. “Service You Can Trust”
