Former “RuPaul Drag Race” contestant in 2010 Sahara Davenport has died on Tuesday. His real name was Antoine Ashley.
The Logo network released the following statement about Davenport’s death:
Logo is profoundly saddened by the passing of Antoine Ashley who fans around the world knew and loved as Sahara Davenport. He was an amazing artist and entertainer who’ll be deeply missed by his Logo family. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, especially his boyfriend Karl, in their time of need.

Reports have found inconsistencies when it comes to Davenport’s age. Many reports have stated a range of ages from 27 to 32 years of age. Wikipedia reports Davenport was born on December 17, 1984 which would state he passed away at age 27.
Davenport, whose real name was Antoine Ashley, was a dancer and model originally from Gaithersburg, Md., according to the New York Times. He began his drag career in Dallas, where he attended Southern Methodist University for dance.
It is unknown what the cause of his death may be.
UPDATE on Oct. 4, 2012: Reports state the mother of Antoine Ashley aka Sahara Davenport died of heart failure. The details of his heart issues are not known.
