Did Kirk Franklin Become The Richest Man in Gospel by Secularizing it?

There’s one man who has become popular by changing the name and the game of gospel music. Though we have never endorsed nor appreciated the use of Jesus’ name for profit, we thought we’d see what all of this is about.

Eurweb.com reported recently that  TheRichest.org website says gospel’s richest man in the industry is Kirk Franklin? They say Kirk Franklin’s net worth is  $8.5 million! That’s a lot of money for doing gospel music.

Eurweb reports:

The multi-talented songwriter and director first stepped on the scene in the early 90s, backed by his huge family of a choir. He was different, though. His music was just far enough away from traditional to catch the attention of secularists. But it hinted the right amount of praise and sermon to remind listeners of the gospel message.

His debut album sold over a million copies and has won multiple awards as well. All we want to say is was it worth being super rich by secularizing gospel music for the love of the all might dollar. We don’t think so! Source
