Bishop Eddie Long’s 25th Pastoral Anniversary Event Asks Attendees to (BYOF) Bring Your Own Food

The prosperity gospel preached at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church must be running a bit dry these days. Bishop Eddie Long’s church is putting on a their annual event to celebrate 25 wonderful years in the ministry.

As mentioned in the flyer above, he’s been preaching since 1987 and the celebration will be August 17th at the church. The only thing that struck us odd was the little part that asks attendees to BYOF, which means bring your own food. We can’t understand a mega ministry that pulls in thousands of dollars per week not provide food for the paying attendees. That’s right. The attendees not only have to pay to attend but they will not eat unless they bring their own food.

It only goes to show that the church is only providing the space for the event but will not dish out anything else. One thing is for sure, we bet our last dollar, Bishop Long will receive hefty donations in honor of his anniversary. It’s always a win-win situation for Long, if no one else.
