Gospel Singer Shirley Caesar’s Upcoming Conference Guests May Be Questionable To Attendees

We wanted to thank our friends over at The Old Black Church for this. They are actually the spotlight for this discussion. We admire the bold statement the TOBC made about attendees having to use discernment when they decide to attend an event with performers and guests who are questionable.

We would like to think that TOBC was referring to some or all of the guests in the above poster:

  • Pastor Paul Morton
  • Prophet Brian Carn
  • Earnest Pugh
  • Zacardi Cortez
  • Prophet Todd Hall
  • Le’Andria Johnson
  • Lisa Page Brooks

We are not familiar with all of the guests listed above but we do realize some of them have questionable affiliations and some have questionable lifestyle affiliations.  We have said it before and we are so glad The Old Black Church agrees that: when an event comes to town, the Body of Christ needs to consider who is performing or guest speaking before they attend. It is clear that spirits transfer and since many pastors and gospel singers only consider events as ‘gigs’ and not a real opportunity to minister to the people, this is why the blatant hypocrisy and carnality exists in today’s worship experience. Quite frankly, if hypocrisy exists in the lives of many pastors and music artists, the people of God will not experience any anointing of the person in front of them but only that they have been stroked and entertained for the occasion. The ‘entertainment’ will only last for the moment and no real substance will come from the experience. This is a travesty. Another question remains to be answered: If we do not receive real substance from real ministry than can we really experience a relationship with God through their ministry?

Maybe we should also consider who is planning the event as well. Maybe their spirit is not right in the first place. As The Old Black Church would say, ‘we’re just saying’.
