Has Benny Hinn and Wife Suzanne Started a Trend or a Revolution to Restitution of Marriages?

We think this question is a valid one. Has anyone one thought about how popular and profitable it most likely was for Benny Hinn and his wife Suzanne to resolve their marital issues and restore their marriage from divorce?

We have been thinking about this issue and we know it was the talk in the Christian community, online news outlets and blogs alike. We even covered the news as well. We know people may say: “Hey, if they restored their marriage, why do we have to even think it was anything more than a move of God in their lives?” Well, we would feel comfortable if they were not high profile, prosperity gospel pushing ministers who don’t know the truth let alone preach it but they are. They use the bible and Jesus’ name for pure profit. If we believed they were truly preaching to save souls, we would say so. Unfortunately, we and many, many clear minded folks can recognize a con when we see one. And sorry folks this restitution of marriage between The Hinns is a con. But let’s get back to the question: Has Benny Hinn and Wife Suzanne Started a Revolution or a Trend to Restitution of Marriages? We say this because we felt in our spirits that someone like Paula White and Randy White would reconcile as well. Most people know that Benny Hinn and Paula White allegedly had an affair and it was months later that he and Suzanne separated and eventually divorced. Benny Hinn ultimately blamed her for deserting him and their family but now states it was he that was too wrapped up in the ministry to save his marriage. He never admits to an affair with Paula White and neither does she but now Randy White has returned to Without Walls Intl Church and stated some interesting things about his marriage to Paula.

In our post, Pastor Randy White Shares Testimony of Drugs and Suicide Attempt in New Book, this is we said:

We can’t help but feel like Paula and Randy White orchestrated this ‘comeback’ to compete with Benny Hinn and his wife Suzanne. The Hinns have reconciled and used their televised programs to ‘cash in’ on it, literally. We felt this way before we consequently found an interview Bishop Randy White did in late June for Joy105.com and he mentioned some of the regrets of divorce and his hopefulness.

He stated:

“Looking back we really wish we would have taken a sabbatical, in which I did for 3 years and focused on getting our marriage back working the way it needed to be.

We do a lot of things together and we don’t know what God has in store for the future it could be a tremendous miracle that takes place!”

This is why we feel a new wave of trends to restitution of marriages is on the way. Now, don’t get us wrong. If the Body of Christ sees their pastor reconciling with his wife and wants to do the same, this is great news!! God wants families to be restored. The real issue at hand is- it has to be done in the truth and will of God not just because someone else has done it. In other words, a woman should not reconcile with her abusive husband she spent years with and finally left to save her life, just because Suzanne Hinn did. This would not be in God’s will unless both have agreed and sought out help to heal the wounds of that marriage. This is the danger of a trend that may be on its way.

Another trend could be where pastors, gospel artists and church leaders alike start reconciling just for the publicity, profit and status. We can see, for example, Paula and Randy White giving it a whirl just for the publicity.

Just imagine: some of your favorite gospel artists reconciling with their wives and husbands. These may be the very ones that couldn’t wait to end their marriages and be single or explore their gay tendencies. Who knows! In our opinion, we think this re-marriage was a stunt the Hinns have used or concocted… purely for the money!

Let’s see how it goes but let’s not be surprised the restitution of marriages become a trend that is almost bigger than prosperity gospel.
