Where is the Carnality Coming From In Our Churches Today? [VIDEO]

We have to raise up an old and ancient question to the believers out there: Where is the carnality coming from in our churches today? We ask this question because the worldly ways and behaviors in many of our churches have not changed; in fact its getting worse. This question we raise is old but whose dealing with it? Are we just talking and not making effort to help make a difference?

The carnal ways from church members, choir members, usher board, deacons crept into the church because the man or woman behind the pulpit has not made a stand against it. Today, its no longer creeping in the church; its welcome with open arms. The modern day church is in search of popularity and financial gain. While seeking and thriving for the church and ministry to take care of the pastor’s needs and wants to an extraordinary and unnecessary abundance, the call for righteousness is left behind. The true purpose of our church experience has lost its luster and gaining membership is more important and profitable than saving souls.

Again, people raise the question, ‘Where is the carnality coming from in our churches, well its quite simple if we all take heed. Carnality is present in many of our churches today because:

1) The pastor has allowed it to come in

2) The generations coming up are demanding a change in the church experience

3) The elders of the church are/have complied to the ‘young folks’ request for more modern gospel music

4) The pastor is not chosen to preach yet he says he’s called

5) The congregation wants to compete with larger and more popular neighboring or celebrity churches

6) The church has become concerned with building wealth above all

These are some of the causes of many, not all, churches who allow the world to come into the church and take over. The bible says the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6: 10).

One thing must be stated, just in case some did not know. The church was not suppose to be a family business nor a career nor made to be a vehicle to prosper to endless means. Though we know: “..God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phillipians 4:19), the church was not meant to be a cash cow. Saving souls was the main and only reason for the church house and the ministry was to reach across this country humbly for the work of the Lord.

We can also mention the lust from the pulpit which can be added to our list above.  How did a pastor allow himself to become vile and carnal while singing a traditional gospel song? We saw the video that is spreading around the internet of a pastor becoming sexual in front of his congregation and a woman attacks him. Reports have stated the woman who ran from the front row was his mistress or wife. We can not confirm who she was to the pastor, she apparently was not going for what he was doing. While singing the song, he came to the lyrics for God to “fill me” but lust came over him and it turned into “feel me”.

So, we must start to deal with these issues because its changing the course of our stairway to heaven. The way to deal with it is to do a total clean up and revival in many of our churches. God would be pleased.

For a minute thought I was at that juke joint in the color purple. It looked like an Al Green spirit jump on the woman. Lucky for SoulPastor she didn’t have any hot grits! Sad but priceless video! SMH!
