Juanita Bynum Interview: Testifies She’s Done it All and Admits She Was Lesbian
(Revised and updated on July 18, 2012)
Juanita Bynum had an interview with Frank and Wanda on Atlanta’s V-103 last week. She shared her testimony of being on drugs and also admitted that she has been with men and women… while using drugs from the past.
Reports have already been circulating about rumors that she was a lesbian which have been around for years. In Bishop Thomas Week III’s book’ What Love Taught Me, he revealed that she had orgies with women, but we were not sure if he was saying this out of spite due to the public spectacle they both made of themselves in the domestic abuse case years ago.
Juanita Bynum tells V-103:
“I’ve been there and I’ve done it all,” Bynum confided. “I’ve [done] the drugs. I’ve been with men. I’ve been with women.”
“It’s not a line, it’s my life!”
“That abuse that I suffered was because I attracted after my own kind. That abuse was already sitting in me.”
Is she seeking attention as many of these celebrity preachers do from time to time? We are not sure why she chose this time to testify but we have to say we have not heard many women admit they have been homosexual or had homosexual tendencies. We have heard of many former homosexual and lesbian testimonies but on a general note, most people will not testify they have been homosexual. Its too taboo and people just don’t want to be judged or shunned. If she’s being humble about this, we commend her for taking accountability for her past choices.
We know she has had us scratching our heads when she defended her actions of typing tongues and saying she’s ‘operating in natural insanity but spiritual clarity’ in the past, so we are not sure what she may say; but hopefully this can help someone else. We believe the many black women who struggle with homosexuality who actually follow Juanita Bynum, may feel encouraged to free themselves too. We haven’t agreed with all the drama she has surrounded herself with but maybe God plans to work through this to help Black women today! If so, then God gets the victory and the attention, not Juanita Bynum.
Her Twitter page was updated when people criticized her for her comments on the show:
“If my life’s testimony offends you then good. Now you can go serve Christ for real because he will never disappoint you ever!!! Testimony is what you get after something has been put to death,” says Bynum. “Maybe that’s why we don’t see a lot of them. You got to kill it to tell it. A real Christian is not ashamed of the gospel nor what the Gospel has done and will do!! Remember that!!!”
