Singapore Pastor Kong Hee Seeks The Strength of God via Twitter

While the megapastor has been accused and charged with misusing millions of dollars from his City Harvest Church to fund his wife’s secular music career, he has been feeling the hardship in his spirit from it all.

Kong Hee has been seeking strength through scripture and prayer via Twitter. Though one would think he’d seek this strength more appropriately on his knees, he has chose to share this pain with his followers and the world. There’s no fault in this unless one is wanting to seek sympathy and attention due to accusations that may be true against him.

Some of the tweets he has left on his Twitter page are:

“Show me Ur ways, O Lord, teach me Ur paths; guide me in Ur truth … for U r my God & my hope is in U all day long ~ Psalm 25:4-5,” he tweeted last week.

“Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God ~ Is. 41:10.”

Also, on the day he was charged, he tweeted the Psalm:

“But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; You are my glory, the One who holds my head high.”

Now, that the charges have settled in, he’s feeling a bit low and down. He’s tweeted these words in hopes he can get some strength from God and from those who support him:

“Feeling drained today … pray for me,” he said in a tweet days after being charged.

“Give me strength for today, Lord …”

He also tweeted an image with the following statement: “Dear God … I don’t ask You to make my life easier..but I ask You to give me strength to face all my trouble. Amen.”
