Teachers Hall of Shame: One Teacher Had Sex with Teen, Another Teacher Collected Child Porn

A female school employee in Pahrump was arrested Friday for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old male student, Nye County Sheriff’s officials said. Amanda McGough, 31, worked as a substitute teacher and administrative aide at Pahrump Valley High and Rosemary Clark Middle School and had been involved with the student since April, officials said. Officials said the investigation began on Friday when the student-teacher relationship was brought to the attention of Nye County Sheriff’s officials. McGough admitted to the relationship when she was questioned about it, officials said. Source

Sheriffs say a link on a Facebook page led them to some disturbing material, and now a Snoqualmie Valley teacher has been arrested for possessing child pornography.

Parents and children had only nice things to say about substitute teacher Ted Bernstein, but beneath the surface, detectives say something sinister was going on.

If it weren’t for Facebook, police might never have found the library of child pornography they say Bernstein had been collecting. Source
