Teachers Hall of Shame: 1 Teacher Paid Students for Sex, Another Imprisoned for Sex with 4 Students

Let’s honor the next two teachers who are inducted into the Teachers Hall of Shame. There’s always room for more that insist on being absolute perverts who corrupted their positions as leaders in the educational systems.

Curtis Jiles, a 30-year-old teacher’s aide at Tenoroc High School in Lakeland, Fla., is accused of paying or trying to pay students for sex both on and off campus, WTSP-TV reports.

Polk County Sherrif Grady Judd told the station authorities believe Jiles had sex with a student in a school bathroom and paid another to let him perform oral sex on the student in the back of a car.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the four male students involved in the sex acts range from 15 to 17 years old.

Florida’s ABC Action News reported Jiles had made arrangements to turn himself in following the issuance of an arrest warrant. But Jiles instead fired his lawyer and is now on the run, WTSP-TV reports.

“I’ve got news for Mr. Jiles,” Polk County Sherrif Grady Judd told the station. “You’re going to the Polk County Jail and there’s going to be a whole lot of people looking for you … because you’re a real bad guy.”

Now, here’s another disgraced teacher and her story of perversion.

A former Bangor Area High School teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old student was sentenced Friday to prison for five months in prison, according to The Morning Call. Rachel L. Farrell, of Palmer Township was accused of having sex with up to four teenage boys at the school, but pleaded guilty today to only one charge of corrupting a minor.

Farrell’s defense attorney had argued for probatio, but Judge Emil Giordano gave her prison time. The article states that Farrell agreed with her sentence. The boy, now 18, told police that Farrell was his 11th grade reading teacher at Bangor high School.

He said “he and Farrell had sexual intercourse numerous times at many different locations. Many times were in her car or his car parked in secluded locations,” according to the affidavit of probable cause. He said some “sex occurred in the WalMart parking lot on Rt. 248″ and also at the Ramada Inn in Tannersville.
