Pastor Amos Brown is a well-known figure in the black community of San Francisco and has been for many years. Since San Francisco has been very open to homosexuality with all the gay marches on an annual basis, the place of the historical gay mayor, Harvey Milk who was assassinated because of his sexuality by Dan White and several pastors reluctant to speak out against sin, Dr. Amos Brown seems to be making this statement out of fear in our opinion.
It is easy to be an alleged “Uncle Tom” in a city that is dominated by not the black community, but the gay and lesbian community. According to abpnews.com, Pastor Amos Brown allegedly stated it would have been hypocritical for the organization, the NAACP not to agree on same sex marriage. Really?
