Of course as true saints of God, we are so very happy to hear Pastor Jamal Bryant still believes in marriage between a man and a woman, but the fact that he allegedly said on this interview with Tom Joyner, he has no choice but to vote for President Barack Obama confuses us. Allegedly, he said that voting for Mitt Romney would be like voting for the replica of George Bush. However, we feel former President George Bush was not so bad, after all.
President George Bush did not oppose the Word of God, which does not condone homosexuality. Our society was so much better off with President George Bush in office, than what it is now. Therefore, as true born again believers we need to be honest and admit many African Americans may not have been fair when President George Bush was in office…Read full article, here.

Unfortunately this is an ongoing problem with Black people that is contributing to our downfall. Slaves were often forced to lie or hide in order to protect each other, and I believe that in some ways this behavior still exists. As a result, Black men can get away with anything (Black women, not so much). It doesn’t matter how vile, abusive, or immoral the act is, Black people will find a way to justify it, and if they can’t they just make excuses: “everybody makes mistakes,” “nobody’s perfect,” “everybody deserves a second chance,” and all that foolishness. They say these things knowing full well they wouldn’t feel the same way if the person was White. We repeatedly say that God is no respecter of persons, but we don’t really embrace the full meaning of it. I have yet to see in the Bible that there is a separate set of standards for Black people, and if you choose to suspend your moral judgement to favor someone because he’s Black, you are placing your soul in jeopardy. Pastors have an even higher calling because they must represent God’s standards in word and deed. Those who are too weak to do so in difficult or uncomfortable moments are perhaps not fit for their position.
Good morning dear sister in Christ. You know, you are so right about many black people of this age, it seems as though they have it in them to always look out for one another, even if they it is wrong. As a race of people, it seems like many of them would be afraid to go against God’s Word, but the subject of “race” seems to be more important to them. A few very important questions comes to mind, are people like Pastor Jamal Bryant putting God’s Word over race? Are they thinking about how God feels instead of how this next presidential election is going to effect Obama and their personal benefits? Are they living as saints of God or just as black folks? The subject of race seems to have blinded many whom profess salvation, so much, they may lose their souls. The time has come now when we must let go of racial issues to embrace biblical issues. God bless and stay strong in Him.
