Will Smith Supports Obama on Higher Taxes on the Rich: Does This Include Himself?

Will Smith, the superstar actor who gets top billing for his movies, spoke on why he supports the President’s tax raise. “I’m very supportive of that idea,” Smith told the Associated Press in an interview. “America has been fantastic to me. I have no problem paying whatever I need to pay to keep my country growing.”

The President has proposed that everyone who earns at least $1 million a year pay at least a 30 percent income tax rate.

Will Smith was reportedly paid over $20 million for Men In Black III. That means he would have to pay at least $6 million dollars in taxes on that money.

Will Smith’s statement sounds great but will he really pay what he owes in the tax raise for the rich or is his ‘endorsement’ only some under the table deal to get people to vote for Obama this election? Most people know that The Smith family and The Obamas are close friends so we know there has to be more to this than friendship? What do you think? Also, will he actually pay the $6 million in taxes for that movie?
