George Zimmerman: Updated News on Apology, Bail Hearing, Injuries and More

We wanted to keep you updated on the Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman case. Here’s the latest on an apology, bail hearing and alleged injuries on Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman took the stand before the bail ruling and apologized to Trayvon Martin’s parents, notes AP:

  • “I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not.” Source

Zimmerman’s appearance was a surprise to everyone today considering it was only a bond hearing. The prosecutors wondered why it felt like the case was being tried today. The apology came parallel with the hearing which made many speculate how was this allowed and did it sway the judge to allow bail. Frankly, the statement from Zimmerman was anything less than an apology. He actually could have kept quiet on that note.

  • George Zimmerman’s bail was set by a judge for $150,000. Since his father is a judge, he will more than likely be released as soon as we blink an eye.

  • A new photograph obtained exclusively by ABC News showing the bloodied back of George Zimmerman’s head, which was taken three minutes after he shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, gives possible credence to his claim that Martin had bashed his head against the concrete as he fought for his life. We really don’t believe any of this and its a shame that news outlets are really taking this in like there’s some truth to it. If this is true, we’d be very surprised. Watch video below and judge for yourself it it even looks real to you.

Also, an update came in over the weekend that Zimmerman’s attorney is working to secure the bail for him and he could be released in a matter of days. This could mean he may be free until the trial begins as early as this week. The word is that George Zimmerman may have to go into hiding again when he gets out on bail.

Stay tuned for the latest in the Trayvon Martin murder case.
