Wow! Not only did he say we’re too “sin conscious,” he also said that he would “be there a while” if we really have to account for our sins. There’s a reason the Bible says not many should be teachers (James 3:1). Sin is not to be taken lightly. How can the newly saved grow in knowledge and holiness if this is what is being preached in the church? Your commentary is correct, Long has is backwards. Several of my friends (and 1 family member) have become disillusioned and rarely go to church because they are sick of the hypocrisy they have experienced from these self appointed ministers of the gospel. Now that he has been fully exposed, the people who continue to support Eddie Long are willfully blind. They obviously want someone who makes them feel comfortable in their sin, because according to him, all God cares about is whether you “had faith,” not how you lived or how you treated others. I continue to pray for TRUE deliverance for all the lost.
You know who he sounds like? That ‘pastor’ on Vampire in Brooklyn that Eddie Murphy morphed into. I think his name was Preacher Pauly. Way to down play your publicized ‘ratchedness’, Eddie. I wonder if someone else has a clip quantifying how many people he has single handily turned away from God’s calling? You know, should we be surprised that anything such as these statements be said? I mean, really?! What’s next, he’s gonna update his Facebook status in tongues? For those of us who have truly experienced the work of the enemy, and have learned that his trickery isn’t ‘new’, why would we even raise an eyebrow of amusement his foolishness? I pray for this brother and the people that continue to turn their cheek out of ignorance and lack of knowledge from God’s word. I pray that God draws Eddie nearer to Himself and not Eddie drawing nearer to himself based on circumstantial instances.
Hello dear sister in Christ. Yes, isn’t it scary to hear Eddie Long say these words? If people whom are following him and other false teachers they are going to eventually face God’s wrath, because God told us to test the spirit of every man and beware of false prophets. This message is so backwards, it scares us to think about what God is saying about it. These preachers like Bishop Eddie Long are carrying on in their ministries as though they are putting words in God’s mouth and making His rules and He is not pleased. Let’s keep praying that God not only delivers Bishop Eddie Long from his false beliefs, but also many whom are following Him. God bless and stay strong in Him.
Greetings, it is very scary to think about how God is keeping record of how many souls are worshiping Eddie Long and not serving Him and indeed, He has the number of lost souls. We also agree with what you said, we cannot be surprised of what he says or does next, because these days we are not seeing ministers of the gospel allowing God to use them or speak through them, but they are exalting themselves and speaking their own philosophies, which are straight from the pit of hell. We also pray for Bishop Eddie Long and the many souls whom follow his deception.
God bless you and stay strong in Christ.
Woe to this demon and the fools who follow him!
Amen Prophet! Amen!!!
