Kenneth Robinson made headlines when he lived in a house that the bank had foreclosed on and only paid $16 to do so, which is called adverse possession. Adverse possession is said to be a legal process, but the question remains to not be discussed much until someone like Robinson is caught squatting on a property, which they did not buy through a licensed Realtor or through a bank that sells foreclosed homes. We should discuss this matter here on Sanctified Church Revolution blog: Is God pleased with people who squat on properties they negotiated to live on through adverse possession? To answer that question, God is not pleased with it.
The reason why we disagree with adverse possession is to be understood, although it is legal. Morally, it is not God’s will, because He expects us to have faith in Him to own homes, just like many people whom have work hard or found a legal way to earn enough income to own various properties. Yes, we believe God has provided foreclosed properties to be sold to people, but not purchasing one through adverse possession.
