Zachery Tims Autopsy Withheld by Judge
Zachery Tims: Supreme Court Judge Has Withheld Judgement in Cause of Death of Pastor
In Manhattan, State Supreme Court Judge Cynthia S. Kern has withheld judgment today on whether the cause of Zachery Tims’ death should be released to the public or kept confidential to the family.
Tims, 42, pastor of New Destiny Christian Church in Apopka, was found dead in a New York City hotel room Aug. 12.
Attorneys for Madeline Tims, who is the preacher’s mother, filed the lawsuit to keep the cause of death confidential, argued this morning before the court that the medical examiner’s autopsy and toxicology reports are “medical records and should not be released without permission from the family.”

Mother of Tims and attorneys also contend that death certificates of people whose deaths do not fall under the medical examiner’s office are not public record — so those investigated by the medical examiner should not be either.
City attorneys representing the medical examiner’s office are refuting this and contend that while the toxicology and autopsy reports are confidential, the manner and cause of death are not.
“That’s just the tradition and custom they’ve done before,” he said.

When someone is found dead in a hotel room and there were no witnesses and the deceased had no pre-existing conditions like cancer or heart trouble, that person is autopsied to establish the cause of death and it becomes a matter of public record ie Michael Jackson. Although Dr. Murray was present there was still an autopsy and all the world knows how he died. If Zachery Tims were found with a bullet in him I’m sure his mother wouldn’t want it hushed. It is only because of this subtance found on him is the reason why she is fighting tooth and nail to keep the cause of death hidden. Zachery Tims was a grown man who made bad choices and Mom can’t cover everything. He knew there were consequences when you choose to have affairs but he had them anyway, and mom couldn’t cover it. And IF he started to mess with illegal substances again in that hotel room he also knew there might be consequences. When God decides to bring those things done in darkness to the light, Nobody can stop Him, not even mom. Grieve for Him yes, but all can learn from his mistakes and return to Holy living
Very well said. This is what we have been saying all along. So glad more people see this for what it is.
The people need to know. Everyone is aware of this individuals past, at least those that care, and those that do care and who cared about him may not actually even care what the results are because of their loss but what if someone is going around NY killing people and making it look like an over dose. What if someone needed to have this individual out of their way and this tox. screen is negative? What if there was foul play? What if the results have changed the cause of death from suicide to possible homicide or homicide or accidental? The American people deserve to know why. I for one do not judge people on what they have done or are doing but if someone gets killed in the process or dies of an accidental overdose or an intentional overdose it begs the question, Why? A new improved individual is dead and I need to know why. Not a lot of recovering addicts commit suicide this far out from the begining of their new lives. I or we do not need to judge this person but many need to know, Why?
We have all heard about the substance found on him, so what is his mom trying to hide. She seems like the type of mom to lie for her child and not let him take responsibility for his actions. Which is probably precisely why he is dead now.
