Mother Suing Singer Patti LaBelle Explains in Detail the Diva’s ‘Water Throwing Tantrum’
The mother of the child that was allegedly terrorized by Patti Labelle and her tantrum, is speaking out in an interview about what happened that day in a NYC lobby. Roseanna Monk explains in detail what occurred.
Read report from NY Post:
It was Nov. 10 of last year when stagehand Kevin Monk, his kindergarten-teacher wife, Roseanna, and Genevieve were getting ready to go on a family trip.
While Kevin got the car, Roseanna Monk came down to the lobby of their Riverside Boulevard building with their luggage, carrying Genevieve.
Roseanna Monk told The Post she stopped near the door and put her daughter down for a moment.
“Someone came up behind me and said, ‘Do you know what your daughter is doing?’ I said ‘yes’ and went to pick her up,” she said.
LaBelle angrily admonished the pregnant Monk.
“She said in an aggressive tone, ‘You shouldn’t have left your daughter by the door,’ ” Monk recounted. “I told her, ‘I have no interest in what you say or think.’ ”
“She became enraged and started using profanities — the C-word and the F-word in a loud voice . . . She had a bottle of water and started flicking water from the bottle on me,” the mom said.
She said Genevieve got hysterical.
“I said to this woman, ‘Look what you’ve done to my daughter,’ ” Monk said.
LaBelle lunged at the mom — who was still holding Genevieve — and had to be restrained by her entourage and be pulled out to a waiting car, Monk said.
The tot was crying so hard she vomited, Monk said.
Later, the family sent a note asking for an apology from LaBelle. They got no response.
Her lawyer and reps didn’t return calls for comment.
The suit seeks unspecified damages, but the family’s lawyer, Sam Davis, says that he’s taken the case for free and that the family plans to donate any money it gets to a children’s cancer charity.
Shame on you, Patti. What would allegedly cause her to become so uncouth that she needed to be restrained? No one is above the law and no one likes a disrespectful diva!

Wow, the story keeps changing. Hang in there, Patti. We want to hear YOUR version.
We would love to hear Patti’s side but she has not addressed any of these issues as we know at this time. We will keep you all posted.
“NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW”…so true but since so many pastors and so-called Christians are “poor representatives of God” why expect more from a “diva”…..hummmmm
You are right on, Zombies in the Church!! Thank you!
