I never liked transgender comedy. I always felt it was degrading to black women because it was the most grotesque representation of black women. But now it is across racial lines which means there is a greater purpose.
We are entering into the days of the Greeks and Romans where women were treated like dogs and were not allowed on stage.
A woman was always potrayed by a man because women were not to be seen, acknowledged or talked about. These were also the days of all male dinner parties and celebratory events. I don’t need to go there about what happened at these gatherings.
We are not moving forward, but backwards. But we are laughing so hard at the “comedy”, we don’t see it.
Funny you bring this up. A couple of weeks ago, I worked with a transgendered person for the first time and truth be told, this was just the nicest “woman” I’d met in a long time. This is significant for me because I am a broadcast technician and there are many gay/lesbian folks in this business, even behind the scenes where I am involved, so when you meet these people, at first, you don’t know how to act because for years as a Christian you spend years condemning their sin, but when you get to know them as human beings, you kinda see them differently.
Am I saying you should go soft on their sin? God forbid!! But you come to realize that though this is a hot button topic today, gay and lesbians are not any worse than the fornicating choir girl or the adulterous church deacon. Each is in dire need of repentance like all of us.
I do agree that the media has played a small part in helping to shape the conditions for this thing to become more acceptable in society. However, can’t place all the blame on them since this stuff’s been around long before the modern-day media.
I don’t understand why for so many people there seems to be confusion about men dressing like women. I simply go by what GOD said about this subject and that settles it for me. GOD never said it would be ok to crossdress if it was done in the name of entertainment….he simply said not to do it,period. When we do what we want to do there are spiritual consequences to pay. This is why this generation of young people are so sexually confused because we openend doors we should not have….all in the name of being entertained. Satan cleverly presented this to us in the name of a laugh or having fun. People decided to second guess what GOD said and we are paying for it now. So many young people are being turned out because they see Obama is cool with gays and other powerful people and now they see nothing wrong with it. Even preachers are looking the other way so as not to offend. Some gays/crossdressers are wealthy and many preachers don’t want that money to leave their churches so they stay silent and punk out on GOD.
Yes, the bible is very clear on what wed do and not do so all of this nonsense is for attention and taking people away from the will of God.Thanks so much Uriyah!
2Pc, though people can be the nicest individuals in the world and we should love them, sin is sin. There’s no way around it. If that fornicating choir or adulterous deacon sins, there is no difference. But we are all to blame when we sin and yes homosexuals are sinners as well. The issue with them is they are not just minding their own business and sin as they may. They are trying to influence and change the fabric of God’s world and law into a game and un-biblical playground. This is the issue at hand. Our society and our children claim they are gay just because some group of people wants everyone to explore an ungodly lifestyle and make it right. Let us blame all sinners yes but have we every thought about how our own children may accept this lifestyle? How will we feel then and the freedom of gays in our society?
Yes, it has degraded black women to the lowest level and it was many women who applauded this too. Its all become very clear and Pastor Shell did a great job at making God’s word the priority.

I think we’re on the same page here. I was just pointing out the awkwardness of meeting a transgendered individual and then not knowing how to act around them at first. I have never met a transgendered before (well, I BELIEVE I haven’t! LOL!) and you don’t want to begin a working relationship by condemning people, you want to love them and pray for them.
I feel the reason why all of this stuff is out of control is because the church dropped the ball on disciplining folks who were in sexual sin. I feel the reason why church choirs are littered with homosexuals is because the choirs were full of fornicators and adulterers, so from there it was just a slippery slope. Churches discipline is a biblical mandate that seems to never be enforced.
The difference between someone who fornicates or commits adultery and a homosexual is the difference between oppression and possession. The fornicator/adulterer is giving in to the influence of an evil spirit that is working from the outside of the body having partial control over the thoughts and desires of the individual. They otherwise function normally. The homosexual is completely given over to an evil spirit that resides on the inside of the body having complete control over the thoughts and desires of the individual. A possessing demon controls, mannerisms, voice, (during deliverance you can sometimes hear more than one voice speaking at once), dress, personality, etc. Basically any decision that a homosexual makes is based on the fact that they are a homosexual. The fornicator/adulterer will be free when they get that portion of their life under control. For example you don’t usually see people having fornication or adultery demons cast out because they still have control over whether they do it or not. The homosexual is homosexual 24/7 and needs deliverance. They just need to make a decision to stop. Usually, nothing else about them has changed. This is not to say that fornication/adultery demons can not crossover to full possession. It’s just to say that it is far less likely. Some demons are far stronger than others. Homosexual demons bring with them strong deception. The bible says that when you sweep the house clean that you need to fill it with the Holy Ghost lest that demon that was cast out return with seven demons stronger than himself and the condition of the person be worst than before. This shows that not all demons are the same in strength and power. Many times the spirit of homosexuality is present in an individual before birth. That’s why pregnant women need to cover themselves with the blood of Jesus against such influences. They should never sit under a cross-dressing movie. Admittedly all of these cross-dressing comedians are funny; but not funny enough to laugh your way to hell. Today’s society is pushing tolerance for homosexuality. The bible never teaches us to tolerate sin, but to walk in our authority against it. That’s the reason that the Church needs to learn to pick up judgment again and not accept society’s “Who are you to judge?” command. It’s time to cry aloud and spare not. When the bible tells us to judge not lest we be judged; it’s telling us to get our own act together before we judge; not that we are not allowed to judge. It goes on to say that we will judge angels. The ultimate intention of a demon is to be present at the time of death to carry the sinner’s soul to hell. Not too funny. The worst amongst all of these comedians is Tyler Perry. He’s the only one that I know that claims to be a Christian and draws an enormous Christian crowd at the box office.

Pastor Sherri you made a very critical point about OPPRESSION and POSSESSION. People have no idea what they’re dealing with! There are many POSSESSED homosexual Mega Pastors, and so called gospel music artist leading many in the body of Christ into an absolute abyss! You’re point about Tyler Perry was dead on too. I tell people all the time, none of the other famous movie directors like Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, and F Gary Gray claim to be a born again Christian, so Tyler Perry has always been a dangerous TROJAN HORSE within the church. Sadly so many are deceived and he now has a stronghold of credibility. Thanks for sharing Pastor!

I agree that demonic activity exists and there is a sense of oppression and possession from demons. I wonder though, how many consider the doctrine of Total Depravity? I believe Scripture teaches the complete, thorough and utter sinfulness of Man. And I think that any work of the flesh, whether fornication or homosexuality, is an act of sin springing from man’s own sinful nature. The first chapter of Romans makes it clear that homosexuality is a result of 1) an absence of God’s protection, and 2) the logical outcome of man’s suppression of the truth. It doesn’t seem to suggest demons as the source of homosexual activity. Paul says God gave them over to dishonorable passions (or ‘vile affections’ if you like KJV) due to their stubborn disobedience and unbelief.
If demons are the cause, then I can’t see why Paul would, in 1 Corinthians 6, say he’d give the guy who was sleeping with his mom over to Satan. And if demons are the cause then we can blame-shift, like Flip Wilson did when his cross-dressing character Geraldine would say “the devil made me do it”
